The article discusses an innovative approach to teaching a school geography course using web maps. The authors substantiate the need to introduce new technological learning tools, such as Internet maps, which will allow students to study the material more effectively and improve their skills with maps. The article presents specific recommendations for the creation and use of web maps in the process of teaching geography, including the selection of the most appropriate platforms and soft-ware products, the development of their own maps, their integration into the curriculum and the organization of practical classes. The result of the research was the establishment of a positive impact of the use of web maps on the level of knowledge of students and their motivation to work independently on the topic.

One of the most promising modern methods of mental calculation training to preschool children is considered in the article – mental arithmetic, the main tool of which is the abacus –calculating tools invented in China. Features of intellectual development and logical thinking of preschool children, the history of the origin of methodology and abacus are described. The process of transition from work with calculation tolls to mental calculation is detailed. The article analyzes typical problems of mental arithmetic, various types of activities in the classroom, the main stages and levels of training.

The present article is a research work in the field of Saint-Petersburg studies. The subject of research is the metal decor decorating Saint-Petersburg. Maximaphily, the field of collecting, in which the main collector’s item is the maximum card, is used in the book as a method of research. The subject of research is the author’s collection of maximum cards devoted to architecture and sculpture of Saint-Petersburg. The analytical and synthetic sight at shape of the city allows to see not only harmony of the laces created by different ethnic groups of Europe, but also man-made art of a metal decor. Besides, the analysis connects them with natural fantastic displays of the vegetative nature. With practical examples of the Petersburg sights the author considers an associative array of a metal decor with various lacy patterns in detail.

The article describes practical methods of navigation using GPS-navigators, topographic maps and the Internet, which can help people, interested in travelling (tourists, fishermen, hunters, and including professionals (geologists, surveyors, topographers) to reliably find their way to the target site. It also describes methods of navigation with a GPS-navigator Garmin eTrex H. The described technique will help to find the way back, eliminating or significantly reducing the possibility of the loss of orientation in unfamiliar terrain. Thanks to GPS-navigator it is easier to move on unfamiliar terrain, even with the presence of a topographic map. The «Internet» network significantly expands the possibilities of satellite navigation receiver. Due to the rapid display of all the changes of the area and the large scale of satellite imagery it is easier to find the way to the target.

The author has obtained a formula for the evaluation of hardness flat externally, statically indeterminate girders. To obtain the General solution the researcher uses the method of induction and the operators of the computer algebra system Maple. The forces in the rods was found by using cut nodes method, deflection – using Maxwell – Mohr integral. The article has also derived the formula for the horizontal displacement of the support. Some asymptotic properties of the solution are found.

The article researches the equation with infinite degrees of stairs (tetration). Tetration is not an elementary function, so the application to the solution of the arguments, that are suitable for algebraic and transcendental functions, leads to erroneous and paradoxical conclusion. The work presents the numerical analysis of the set of solutions of the equation with titration and makes some conclusions of the solvability of the problem for different values of the right-hand side of the equation.

Lithological triangles are used in order to construct a geological lithofacies map under the conditions of significant bore-hole mud weight. The placement of these triangles’ points and their triangular coordinates do not always coincide. Gibbs triangle and Gibbs-Rosebom triangle are used in physical chemistry. The second is better developed. The planimetry theorems are the basis for the rules of constructing and using the triangle. When applying nomographic methods it is suggested to use a standard triangle to construct lithofacies maps (maps with a lithological cut).

Статья посвящена особенностям и наиболее интересным с технической точки зрения нюансам проектирования и разработки мобильного клиента для операционной системы Android информационного клиент-серверного приложения «Mobile Report». Данный проект ориентирован на социальную сферу и направлен на обеспечение эффективного и своевременного взаимодействия между студентами, преподавателями и дирекцией Казанского Федерального Университета и ее подразделений-институтов в направлении решения организационных, инфраструктурных, хозяйственных и других проблем. Особое внимание уделено проблемам передачи данных в нативных Android-приложениях, также рассмотрены особенности реализации клиент-серверной архитектуры (описан вариант реализации гибкой иерархии исключений) и предложено решение проблемы отсутствия интерактивности всплывающих подсказок актуального на данный момент API Google Maps.
