The article presents the method «Proverbs» in the author's modification as a diagnostic tool for studying the life strategies of the personality. A behavioral typology of life strategies is proposed in accordance with the theoretical model of K. Thomas method. The theoretical justification and description of the methodology is given, the results of its approbation on the youth sample are briefly examined, the prospects for further research are determined.

The article discusses the coal mine TOO «Razrez Kuu-Chekinskiy» located in Kazakhstan, Karaganda Oblast, B. Zyrau District, Kushoky Village, which was founded in 1956, including excavators that reveal the surface of the soil (overburden), which extract coal in this coal cut. The paper also presents the concept of monitoring the specific power consumption of excavators. The purpose of monitoring specific power consumption in TOO «Razrez Kuu-Chekinskiy» is to monitor the energy consumption of excavators in the quarry.

The article is devoted to some features of the function and construction of the image of the Benefactor in the Zamyatin novel. One of the central philosophical problems of the novel – the problem of freedom and happiness – is considered. Through the implementation of this problem the image of the Benefactor, who has a long literary, philosophical and religious tradition, appears in the work. It is in the monologue of the Benefactor that the ancient antinomy freedom – happiness is voiced. And although in the novel we observe the victory of the rational United State over the soul, but we clearly catch the author's point of view about the inhumanity of such «happiness».
