The article deals with the problem of the lack of media education of citizens and the need to introduce such a course in schools and universities in the conditions of the modern information warfare, which goal is the impact on mass consciousness with a view to its submission and enslavement in certain geopolitical goals. The author rightly raises the question of the means of protection against the manipulation with consciousness to be possessed by citizens, but since the technology of manipulation of consciousness is used by all the media and politicians, the question arises: is this profitable for the government to train its own citizens to counteract the manipulation.

Analysis of research is clearly insufficient to effectively address deviant behavior. It is necessary to minimize conflicts and reduce aggressiveness of parties to conflict in educational institutions. The modern school is filled with various kinds of conflict interactions. It is therefore becoming increasingly clear that effective conflict resolution techniques are required. One such modern method, in our opinion, is mediation.

In the article such terms as «scientific journalism» and «popular-science mass media» are considered; questions of formation of effective dialogue between authorities, scientists, journalists and public are touched upon; tendencies of development of scientific journalism in Russia and on the West are pointed out.

This article examines the dependence of the level of short-term memory, memory type and indirect memory on the level of educational motivation in younger schoolchildren. The study showed that there was a relationship between memory and the level of educational motivation. It is proved by diagnostic tests that, the higher the levels of short-term and indirect memory, the higher the level of motivation, and vice versa. It was also revealed that the type of memory does not affect the level of educational motivation.
